Safeguarding Handbook

This is a comprehensive document written in plain English designed to provide a general understanding of the approach by the Archdiocese to safeguarding and managing our associated legal and moral obligations.
The handbook covers a range of topics including some simple definitions, effects of abuse, abuse risk factors, receiving and handling an abuse concern and reporting obligations. There is also some information on the impending Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme. The handbook is accompanied by a wide range of supporting resources.
This is an invaluable information source and ready reckoner for all parishes, Local Safeguarding Representatives, Clergy and other services and ministries.
More information is available via this link – here

Any feedback concerning the handbook is welcomed at sa**********@**************et.au.
