REFLECTION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE – by Lisa-Marie Calderone-Stewart
Have you ever been caught doing something you knew was wrong? What happened?
Have you ever done something with a friend of yours, and your friend got away with it, but you didn’t? How did you feel? Did you want your friend to get into trouble as well? Or were you thankful that at least both of you didn’t get caught?
What sins, mistakes, or faults from the past would you like to forget? What stops you from letting go of them and moving on? What new ways or new habits would you like to be yours from now on?
Jesus stopped a mob of men from stoning a woman to death. They could easily have turned on him, but they did not. Why do mobs want to commit acts of violence? Why do you think violence has become such a major part of the entertainment business, such as movies, video games, and so forth? What is fun about violence?
